Prague Parks and Gardens

If you already have enough bustle of the city, you can interrupt your tour in one of the Prague Parks or Zoo. You can go for a walk there, or simply sit on the grass and relax. It’s really comfortable mainly in the hot summer.

In Prague we have a lot of parks. Some of them are smaller, some bigger. The smaller parks are located mainly in the city center. Of course, there is an exceptions, as usual. The exception is the Petřín Hill. Petřín Hill connects Castle District with Lesser Town that means it is almost right in the city center. On the top of Petřín Hill you can find Lookout Tower, the Mirror Maze and Observatory.

Another park in city center is Kampa park. It lies right next to the river Vltava at Lesser Town and you can relax here really well. One disadvantage of Kampa Park is, in the hot summer it is overcrowded. At Kapma, there are restaurants, museums and the famous “babies”. Simply, in Prague you can find many parks.

Further from the city center there are bigger parks, where local people go running, cycling or having BBQ or go for a walk. These are Stromovka, Landronka, Divká Šárka. There is also one park, which is really interesting. This park is called Hvězda.

And I cannot forget the Prague Zoo. It also worth to visit, mainly if you are travelling with children. Me personally, I love the Prague Zoo with its chair lift very much. I recommend you all to visit this place some day.IMG_6224
